March 27, 2025

News Summary:
In the first two months of 2025, China’s retail sales grew by 4% year-on-year, totaling over 8.37 trillion yuan, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). This marks a slight increase from December’s 3.7% growth. Despite these positive signs, the NBS cautioned that domestic demand remains weak, and some enterprises face operational challenges, indicating that the foundation for sustained economic recovery is not yet robust.
